Fix your eyes on God, not on your problems.

We read in the book of 2 Chronicles 20, the story of three armies who marched against King Jehoshaphat to wage war against him. Josaphat was informed, and there was a multitude of people coming against him. Alarmed, Jehoshaphat resolved to inquire of the Lord, and proclaimed a fast for his country.

Faced with this situation, Jehoshaphat and his people did not know what to do, but they made the choice to fix their eyes on God.

Fix your eyes on God. It is to fix your eyes on the greatness of God believing that God is greater than the greatest of your problems.

Jeremiah 10 :6 No one is like you, LORD ; you are great, and your name is mighty in power.

Fix your eyes on God. It is to fix your eyes on the Almighty of God. Nothing and no one are above his infinite power. His power has no limits. Luke 1:37. For with God nothing shall be impossible. I am the Lord, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me ? Jeremiah 32 :27. Your problems are not too difficult for God. Put your trust in him.

Fix your eyes on God. It is to fix your eyes on God's Omniscience. God knows all things, past, present and future. Psalm 147:5. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit.

Fix your eyes on God. It's to fix your eyes on God’s love. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Fix your eyes on God. It is to fix your eyes on God's faithfulness. God is faithful to himself, to his word and to his promises. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. 2 Thessalonians 3 :3.

Fix your eyes on God. It is to fix your eyes on the Eternity of God. God is Eternal and has eternal life in him. He'll always be there. Psalm 102 :12. But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever; your renown endures through all generations. Matthew 28 :20. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Fix your eyes on God. It's to fix your eyes on God's sovereign. God is sovereign. He does what he wants. Psalm 115:3 Our God is in heaven, He does whatever pleases him. Psalm 103: 19. The Lord has established his throne in heaven, and his kingdom rules over all. If you like to serve Lord with all your heart and believe in his sovereignty; face to your problems, you can declare loud and clear all things contribute to the good of those who love God. Romans 8 :28. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. God delivered King Jehoshaphat in an extraordinary way, for he had fixed his eyes on God and God fought for him. 2 Chronicles 20 :17. You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions ; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you, Judah and Jerusalem. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Go out to face them tomorrow, and the Lord will be with you.’”

Do you want God to act for you in your problems? Fix your eyes on Him, not on your problems. May the Lord be with you.
