How do we use our days? Do we use them wisely?
Quite often we boast of our own wisdom and when we sense the approval of people around us it makes us believe that our boastfulness is correct. However, if we really live by God’s Word, we discover that we are wrong.
God’s word tells us: “Who is wise and understanding among you? Let them show it by their good life, by deeds done in humility that comes from Godly wisdom. If you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, do not boast about it or deny the truth. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, or demonic. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice. But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere”. James 3:13,17
Pray to God to help us to properly count our days so that we may have true wisdom. Not wisdom from that of the world, but from God.
