God can calm your storm.

We read in the book of Mark 4: 35,41 the story of Jesus in a boat with his disciples. He asked them to go to the other side with him. During this crossing a furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Problem! At this moment Jesus was sleeping in the boat. The disciples seeing their life was in danger, that they could do nothing and despite some of them had experiences in navigation; They woke up Jesus and said to him: Teacher, don’t you care if we drown? He got up, rebuked the wind, and said to the sea: Quiet! And the wind ceased, there was a great calm. Jesus Christ calmed the storm. He is the God who controls the circumstances.
We can compare our life to a boat that travels on the sea of this world. During this crossing, our life could face strong wind and big waves. (Sickness, unemployment, failure, disappointment, incomprehension…….) Is Jesus Christ in your boat of life? The disciples were afraid. To human eyes it was normal that they were afraid. But for Jesus it was the opposite. He said to them: Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith ? He meant, I’m in the boat, I’m in control even when you see me sleeping. You should place your faith in me. I have the power to calm storms. What is your storm? Invite Jesus Christ to come and take place in your boat of life and let him be the Captain, placing all your trust in him. Revelation 3:20. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I come in and eat with that person, and they with me.
Count on God to calm your storm.
Amen.
